Carlos Malcolm has often been referred to as the Quincy Jones of Ska music. His career as a composer, arranger and producer spans three decades of activity in popular music.
Carlos was employed as arranger, producer and director in the Variety Programs Department of the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC-TV). While at JBC-TV, Carlos was appointed director for "island content" of the musical score of the James Bond film, "Dr. No," much of which was filmed in Jamaica.
